The regional Association of tennis of Laurentides (A.R.T.L.) is a corporation non-profit-making, management of which is entrusted to a board of directors composed of the representatives of internal clubs, municipalities of Laurentides, organisms and volunteers dedicated in the development of tennis. Tennis Laurentides is affiliated to provincial organism Tennis Quebec, in former days the Confederation of Quebec of tennis.

Tennis Laurentides sets up diligently programs and activities which assure an efficient development several levels of participation, that is introduction, recreation and competition, what makes an active dealer of him within the sports network of the Laurentides. With this effect, the regional Association supports the introduction of the young persons in the practice of tennis from primary level thanks to its participation in different programs of tennis in the school, mini-tennis, during <<Mini-jeux>>, organized by Loisirs Laurentides, in collaboration with Sante Tennis and its support to plan Tennis Plus National Bank with Wilson punished by Tennis Quebec. Tennis Laurentides also gave the mandate to develop tennis to the customers of teenagers and adults wanting to start to learn about sports and about competition notably by distinguishing itself by the organization of the Ligue de tennis junior inter-municipale des Laurentides, the most important in its type in Quebec and for the first edition, of the grown-up Ligue de tennis adulte Inter-Parcs.
To arrive there, it is enthusiastically that organism creates partnerships with his dealers, his members, his limited partners, mass media, riding associations, internal clubs and the eighty (80) municipalities of all region. This vast network represents the necessary vehicle of development of tennis and it at several levels, allowing so Tennis Laurentides to augment its visibility, to combine and to collaborate on the organization of several other activities and events in laurentien soil. She offers climax of season, between others, the regional junior Final of the Games of Quebec. This annual competition, punished by Tennis Quebec, is kept with a view to forming the team of young players and players of tennis, which will represent Laurentides proudly during the Grand prix of Quebec at the end of season and the final of the Games of Quebec.
To promote not only different events, activities and services which it introduces, supports or supports, but also the actors of the laurentian tennis stage, the Association uses this solid network entirely and has a new Internet site, launched in June, 2008.

Tennis Laurentides plays the following roles;
Develop and return approachable tennis in the region Inform the population, notably by means of the Website and by the calendar of tournament. Organize regional finals junior and supervise the teams which represent the region during the Jeux du Québec (odd years) and the Grand prix (even years) Organize practice of training (levels "Instructor " and "Coach"), which are acknowledged and punished by Tennis Quebec; Put on feet an Interlocal league regrouping 19 teams of 13 municipalities of the region (summer, 2010) Broadcast sports programs and news bulletins emanating from Tennis Quebec Support any regional plan favoring the development of tennis.

The practice of sports, tennis of which allows to build character and to form attitudes. It is about an opportunity for personal growth. Thanks to development and the putting into practice of skills, the establishment of objectives and preparation and participation in competitions or in different activities, the young players and players learn the advantages of devotion, persistence, management of stress, aplomb and discipline, who elements are applicable in other aspects of life, but first of all, they have a good time. By working with the others in pursuit of common objectives, the athletes develop the capacity to work in team, notably with LTJIL and to share responsibilities and develop skills of communication. All these skills and all these attributes allow to the persons to put themselves entirely into their communities and into the society, in general.
The chase of personal objectives in sports demands that the athletes make choices thanks to which they discover their personal stocks. Always by acting as part of these stocks, the players and players learn aplomb. The force of character follows from this process of auto - definition of morality.
Thanks to competitions, the athletes make the experience of win, defeat, failure, successes and achievements. They make the experience of emotions linked to the results of competition: joy, déception, contentment. Personal growth follows from study, to know; how to put in perspective these events and these emotions.
