About Mini-Jeux of Laurentides

As part of its regional mandate of development of tennis, Tennis Laurentides heads, this summer still and in association with Sante Tennis, the fifth edition of Mini-Jeux, organized by Loisirs Laurentides.

Mini-games are days of introduction in sports given in the program of the Games of Quebec or which are popular in MRC. They are conceived for young persons from six to twelve years old. In 2009, about 2000 young persons were initiated sports to around thirty, of which tennis. Besides, program favours the regular practice of physical activity and healthy habits of life.

For eighth successive year, the Mini-Jeux of Laurentides in collaboration with Cases Desjardins and Merrell are back.

In objective to show to the population that the young persons are active and want to move, Loisirs Laurentides will hold three (3) Mini-jeux under different forms as part of the program «First Games».

It will organize from A to Z the sixth edition of MRC of Two-Mountains which will take place on July 13th to Saint-Eustache and the sixth edition of MRC of Laurentides which will take place on August 10th in Labelle. It is to note that in case of rain, MRC of Laurentides will put back event in the following day (August 11th) or cancel this one if there is rain two successive days.

On July 15th, MRC Argenteuil (the fifth edition) will organize its Mini-Jeux with the fixed rate deputation of competence itself

Preparing in these days, it will be given to the municipalities of three MRC the possibility of accepting practice of introduction in different disciplines as athletics, badminton, baseball, basketball, cheerleading, stick, duathlon, fencing, flag-football, gymnastics, weightlifting, judo, kinball, synchronized swimming, pétanque, diving, soccer, the softball, tchoukball, tennis, the archery, ultimate freesbee, the volleyball and water polo.
