Type of racket

Power: The rackets of potency come habitually with the oversize heads (105-135 square thumbs), are very light (8-10 ounces), of a broader contour (26mm-30mm), longer than the norm of 27 thumbs, and is habitually balanced at the head. This type of racket will be also more rigid and therefore more appropriate to the players having a speed of slow striking / acceleration.

Control : Because it is conceived for the more advanced cogneur, these rackets are more suitable for a player able of generating his own power.
They have a more narrow contour (17mm-22mm), a smaller surface of head (between 85po2 and 100po2), are heavier (11 ounces and more), and inertia am in general more balanced.
The players who use these rackets do not search power. Their capacities of game their allow to develop all power that they will need in any given situation. This player looks to maximize control.

Intermediate: Sometimes having indicated these models as racket " all-round ", give a mixture between potency and control. They can be also light as 9 ounces and so heavy as 10.5 ounces, balanced sometimes at the head sometimes in the handle, they can have n " matter which surface of head between 95po2 and 115po2 according to the priority of the player. In short, these rackets are not specific to a particular player as it is case for the models of potency or control. The using players these rackets are not beginners and are not either players of competition. They fall between the intermediary up to the advanced players someplace..

Already stringed racket: These rackets are considered for any beginner searching an introduction to tennis. Models Pre-roped party are little costly, they vary between $49.99 and $119.99 on average.

Head surface

A surface of bigger head will augment potency, effect and the zone of comfort (sweet spot) but will diminish precision and feeling. It is recommended to augment the tension of the cordage in rackets with .big surface

Stiffness

The inflexibility of the rackets of tennis vary between 55 and 80. The more the number is well brought up, the more the racket will be rigid therefore powerful.

Inflexibility is what influences the potency of a racket most. A racket of very rigid tennis will have more potency, less than control and vice versa for a more flexible racket.

Important: a too flexible racket could cause damage in the arm and in the shoulder to somebody who does not have a rather big speed of acceleration and vice versa, a too rigid racket could cause damage in the arm to somebody who has a big speed of acceleration.

In general, more the speed of acceleration of the player is big more the racket has to to be flexible and vice versa. The most rigid never measured racket is Wilson Profile 2.7. Inflexibility was 80.

Weight

If they compare two rackets of inflexibility, inertia, surface and identical length but with two weights different, the heavier racket will be more powerful, more stable and less than vibration.

However it will also be less easy to handle therefore more over demanding physically. The heavy rackets will be especially ideal for players of advanced level having a speed of quick and powerful striking or which will have necessary technology or else physical force to use this type of racket.

heavy

A beginner, of small size or with a speed of rather slow acceleration should use a lighter racket which will be easier to handle and also since a too heavy racket will be probably too over demanding physically and could even cause pain or problems in the shoulder in due time.

Lenght

The more a racket will be long, the more its range and its potency will augment but less the racket will be easy to handle. Normal is 27 thumbs. Any rackets below 27 thumbs am considered to be a junior racket and very rackets beyond will be considered as lengthened (Longbody).

Grip size

It there two methods to measure the good fatness of the handle:

Grab the racket of tennis by the handle as though you gave a handshake to somebody. You should not hold the handle too firmly. The space between the foundation of the thumb and the end of the annular of your hand should not be less than in 5mm or superior in 10mm.

Open the hand. The letter M should appear in the hollow of your hand. Take the length with a cordon to measure the hollow of M up to the top of the annular. Measure will have to be taken in thumbs (British inheritance). This method is valid in 90 % of cases

Weight distribution

The distribution of the weight of adults' rackets goes in general from 250 to 350.
They can classify it in 7 categories.

260 - ; very Light head
261-280; light head
281 - 295; slightly Light head
296-310; even
311-324; slightly heavy head
325-349; heavy head
350 +; very heavy head

The distribution of weight is, after inflexibility, what influences the power of a racket most and the most important as regards workability.

A heavier racket at the head is going to generate more power, to be more stable, will have a better zone of striking (sweet spot) but to be less easy to handle. The addition of the single gram of lead at the head will have a big impact on the distribution of weight. The more a racket is heavy at the head, the more it will be difficult to handle but more it will knock with power and will be also more stable during impact.

Attention: it is not recommended for a player of small size or beginner to take a too heavy racket at the head (330 +) since this one risks being too over demanding physically and will augment the risk of wound in due time.

Strings

Type of strings

There are four main types of available strings on the market at the moment: The natural bowels, Multifilament, Co-polyesters and Nylon.

The natural bowels

The natural bowels are fabricated from guts of beef.
It has a very good stretch, what augments feeling and speed of the bullet. The natural bowels are also ideal for the persons searching the maximum of comfort. It is the summit of the cordage of tennis however it is very fragile and its big feelings in humidity and in warmth can reduce his life considerably.
TYPE OF REGISTERED PLAYER: Advanced to competition. The player who wants an optimum performance, the entertaining player wanting to have to be paid a luxury or having problems of « tennis elbow »
EXAMPLE OF STRINGS: Babloat VS Team, Babolat VS Touch.

Synthetic string

It there three main groups of synthetic cordage: Nylons, polyesters and multifilament.

Nylon;
Cordage based on nylon is the most popular all over the world and also the least costly. This cordage is fabricated in general of a core internal and covered with various protective envelopes based on nylon. There are different methods of manufacture and different qualities of nylon and all influence performance and durability of the rope. Price is very accessible and nylon is a very good basic cordage for the entertaining or starting player.
TYPE OF PLAYER: Beginner, advanced or occasional Beginner.
EXAMPLE OF STRINGS: Fine Babolat Super Play, Wilson Extreme Synthetic Gut, prince Duraflex.

Polyester
The building of a cordage based on polyester is simple, it is constituted of a core of grain of polyester and a slim protective envelope.
They are not very elastic and give a rather rigid feeling during impact with the bullet. However they are much more lasting from a distance than other types of ropes and give more effects than cordage conventional. During manufacture, we see more and more mixture between the polyester and other materials as carbon and certain metallic grains with the intention of changing chemically the polyester of origin and so its performance. These changed polyesters are in general called co-polyester and they are the most popular cordage in the world at present.
EXAMPLE OF STRINGS: Luxilon Big Banger Alu Power, Babolat Pro Hurricane tower, Tecnifibre Black Code, Prince PolyEXP 16.
TYPE OF PLAYER: Intermediate to competition, a person often having problems of breaking of rope, searching control or durability first of all.

Multifilament:
Multifilament string is constructed similarly than the natural bowels (without internal core) to find a feeling of similar game but at lesser expense. They are fabricated of several micro-grains constructed by twisted synthetic materials one with the others and the coated later with a protective surface. His advantages are as the natural bowels, it has a very good stretch what augments feeling as well as performance, however the multifilament will lose this stretch, its competitive ownership, much more fast than the natural bowels and are also fragile one time the protection of the string harmed.
EXAMPLE OF STRINGS: Babolat X Cel Power, Wilson NXT, Gamma Live Wire XP, prince Premiere, Tecnifibre NRG2,
TYPE OF PLAYER: Beginner, advances to competition. The person who searches performance and comfort first of all even if it means having to change its cordage more often, the player having problems of « tennis elbow » or searching a feeling close to the natural bowels but at lesser expense.
It is to note that no synthetic string compares himself with the bowels but multifilament is those who get closer most
